We have a very active school council with democratically elected representatives from Year 1 to Year 6. They meet regularly, supported by Miss Barnett, to contribute to all aspects of school life.

This term the latest addition to our field (a new climbing and activity frame) was erected. School Council met with contractors in the summer term to contribute to the design process. It is so exciting that they can now see how their decisions have been implemented.

School Council champion the way for our character strength, Community Awareness, raising money for various charities throughout the year and organising school collections to be delivered to our local food bank. Last year they raised over £1500 for the Red Cross Ukrainian appeal through a variety of sponsored events – including one member of the council becoming the Head of School for the day while our head became a pupil again!

Upcoming events include a council-led cake sale for Children in Need and Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children. There will be a special Christmas appeal for the food bank too.
