Summer’s Here
Summer’s here!
School is out; children cheer,
Parents, you appear less keen I feel,
The thought of six weeks is terribly real!
How to amuse your little tykes?
Skateboards, scooters, pools and bikes!
Keep them active, keep them fed,
They’ll soon be tired and ready for bed.
Go on adventures, seek out the fun
For pretty soon six weeks is done.
We’ll wonder where that time went,
Postcards written – but were they sent?
Visits to family, neighbours and friends
Out in the garden the building of dens.
Down on the beach and castles were made,
The tide comes in, soaked by waves they fade.
Holidays over, six weeks have passed
Children returning to school at last.

WE MADE IT!! - The last two weeks haven't gone quite to plan, but - WE MADE IT!!
Thank you all for your sterling efforts in following our COVID safety measures. The last two weeks have been difficult, but I think that the fact that we have had so little disruption compared to other local schools is a testament, not only to the policies put in place by the School Leadership Team and the hard work of my colleagues, but also to you and your children's dedication to working with us to keep our community safe. Thank You!
On a personal note, I would like to say thank you to all of you who have taken the time to send me messages of thanks and support throughout the year. I have, truly, appreciated all the good vibes! It has been such a privilege to join Team Snitterfield and get to know all of your children - their positivity has been an inspiration!
This mini-newsletter contains mostly photos of our surprise Juice Bar on Monday, yesterday's Sports Day and today's Leaver's Assembly (its been emosh!) - I hope you enjoy.
Stratford Town Football Club have given all our children a free season ticket to all of their home games this coming season. They will bring home their membership cards today! Check out https://www.stratfordtownfc.co.uk/ for fixtures and more details... C'mon you Bards!
Whatever you do and wherever you go this summer - have a great break we've all earned it!! Sat safe and I look forward to seeing you all in September!
Mr Berry (aka Wayne)
Thanks to a Government Healthy Pupils grant and a genertous donation from FOSS, we suprised the children on Monday with a Pop-up Smoothie Bar in the playgound. The Fruitory made fresh Very Berry (no relation!) Smoothies - which were delicious!!
PHEW! It was a scorcher on Tuesday, but despite the fierce heat the children had a great time and many great feats of sporting glory were on display!
Today we bid a fond farewell to our Year 6 Group. We are very proud of everything they have achieved in their time at Snitterfield and we are sure they are going to go on to great things! They delivered their Leavers' Speeches via Teams to the rest of the school - we laughed, we cried, we sang, and we gave them a guard of honour on the school field! And congratulations to Arden House who were the overall winners of Sports Day!
