Hello everyone!
I hope you’ve all had a good week and had lots of fun (as well as working hard of course!). I expect like all the teachers you’ve been getting used to being at home together with your families.
The longer days this week have been very welcome and there are signs of spring appearing all over my garden- I’m hoping that it will be nice at the weekend so that I can make my garden look all today and ready for Spring.
We’re missing you all so much and are really looking forward to seeing you all again just as soon as we can. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter
MESSAGE TO CLASS 1 CHILDREN FROM MISS FINDLAY & MRS CROUCHER
Hello Class One!
I hope you have been keeping busy and helping out at home where you can. Not much has been going on in our house – the lawn has been mowed every day – I don’t think we will have any grass left soon….. I have been taking Oscar to do his hour horse riding slot at Featherbed Stables which has been nice as it gets us out of the house. Harrison found a 3D jigsaw that his Nana bought him ages ago so he has been busy completing that…….twice, as he dropped it and had to fix it…..I’ve attached a photo of the finished product. Mrs Varley has been doing lots of gardening – I wish she could do mine!! She has also been decorating a room in her house – she is such a busy bee. Mrs Croucher says it has been another busy week in her house; doing home learning and daily challenges such as creating a marble run, bird watching and solving riddles.
We hope you are enjoying sharing your learning with your family and look forward to hearing all about it as soon as we are back.
Enjoy the Easter holidays and keep your eyes peeled for the Easter bunny - we hope you get some treats for Easter!
Missing you all….
Love Miss Findlay, Mrs Varley and Mrs Croucher
MESSAGE TO CLASS 2 CHILDREN FROM MISS BARNETT, MRS BRETTELL & MISS PEARL
Hello again Class 2,
How are you all? I hope you are all are having a lovely, family time at home. It is a bit chilly this week, but hopefully you are still able to go out into the garden. Next week it is going to be hotting up so fingers crossed the weather people are right! Class 2 staff have been very busy chatting about what sort of activities we are going to set you for after the Easter break and I think you are going to enjoy them. We have not set you any work for over the holiday so it is your time to concentrate on enjoying yourselves and making special memories.
Thank you so much to all the children that have sent photos, videos and catch up notes. It so nice to keep in touch and hear about what you are up to. Please do keep in touch.
Have a lovely Easter break and I hope the Easter bunny leaves you some yummy treats!
We miss you all.
Lots of love Miss Barnett, Mrs Brettell, Miss Pearl, Mrs Ball and Mrs Holt xxx
MESSAGE TO CLASS 3 CHILDREN FROM MRS WORLAND & MRS ROBERTS
Hi to all children and parents of Class 3,
Hope you are all safe and well. It has been great to receive emails and photos about all the work you have been doing at home. It has kept me smiling and thank you very much. I can see you are all working really hard which is fabulous to see.
I am busy planning fun and interesting activities for next half term's topic. This Home Learning topic will be sent out weekly in a new format electronically. More to follow after the holiday.
Have a lovely break now.
Take care and stay safe.
Thanks,
Mrs W
Hello Class 3,
I hope you are all well. Although I know some of you are missing school (and we are missing you all very much too) make the most of this unusual time to enjoy ‘family time’ instead if you can!
Some of you have contacted me and asked about extra science work. As Mrs Worland said, we will be sending out the next half term’s work soon. Our next science topic will be states of matter. We will be looking at things like solids, liquids and gases; evaporation, condensation and the water cycle; and the temperature at which water boils and freezes. So if you want any holiday work you could think about what makes something a solid, liquid or a gas? Which solids, liquids and gases do you know? More to follow...
Best wishes for a sunny and happy Easter.
From Mrs Roberts
MESSAGE TO CLASS 4 CHILDREN FROM MR YOUNG & MISS PHILLIPS
Once again it was great to see so many people on TEAMS. We also seem to be getting somewhere with being able to make it work which is even better. I will hold another 'get together' next week for anyone who just wants to see classmates again and after the 'holidays' we can get started on the Summer term curriculum.
It has been a strange to weeks not being in the classroom, I have missed it so it was great to see everyone again and I look forward to seeing you again in the future.
A question for you to think about: Have you learned a new skill while being at home?
Let me know next week!
Mr Young
Another very different week to what it should have been. I haven’t been up to much, apart from doing lots of boring cleaning jobs and long walks in the fresh air.
I am missing you all lots and hope you have loads of fun over the Easter break. Stay safe and keep smiling.
Miss Phillips
