FROM THE EXECUTIVE HEADS OFFICE
Dear Parents,
Well, we've finally made it to the end of term... and what a term...! So many things happening - trips, visitors, cycling courses, a panto visit and of course, lots of lovely learning experiences in each classroom.
It has felt like a very long term, and the last thing we felt we needed was a visit from OFSTED last week. However, we knew we were ready and prepared so we put our best foot forward, worked as a coherent team and showed them what Snitterfield School is made of. It is a pleasure to be able to share the REPORT with you, and we are so pleased that it has arrived today so that we can send it out before the Christmas break.
Of course, we will not be resting on our laurels and will be continuing with our improvement actions as there are lots of things that we know we can do better.
It was particularly gratifying that so many parents reported increased communication as a positive improvement - and the app was specifically mentioned! Special thanks to Mrs Carless for being so proactive and developing the communications over the last few months.
Well, it only remains for me to wish all Snitterfield families a very Merry Christmas a Happy New Year!
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Plaskitt

A HUGE THANK YOU to our wonderful Midday Supervisors, led by Mrs Aust, who all came in really early this Wednesday to set up a real festive treat for us all in the School Hall: banqueting tables, festive table decorations, Christmas chandeliers and even wine glasses for the staff table (holding only water (sadly) we promise!). Thank you very much Mrs Aust, Mrs L. Aust and Mrs Gisbourne.
Pupils from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 should feel very proud of the parts they played in this years Nativity performances - they all did extremely well, especially given how tired they all are at the end of term. Sorry the photos are so grainy- think the Class iPad lens needs a clean!?!?!
Roman day was brilliant, the children did lots of fun activities including Roman battle formations along with a small battle! They had made shields to use on the day, marched and sang Roman songs. Great fun was had by all and everyone looked fabulous in their Roman costumes.
Please take a look at our pictures from the day.
Well, the pantomime was a big hit today!!!! Thank you FOSS for funding the lions share of the cost and to all of you who made a voluntary donation. We will definitely be booking the same company: West Midlands Theatre Company for next year. The performers pitched it just right and, surprisngly, it appealed to all Year groups - even Y6's were captivated (for the most part!).
Following a chilly start, and many requests for hot chocolate and marshmallows ;-), to the two day Bikeability course, all Y6 students passed the course with flying colours and confidently rode around the village on main and b-roads! Well done Year 6.
This week, School Council launched a competition to design a School Council logo for our group and letters were sent home with each pupil. Lots of Class 4 students took straight to the challenge and entries were submitted before the letter had even left the building.
We will be showcasing short listed designs, from each Year group, chosen by the Council, on the website and in the next newsletter and an overall winner will be announced in the New Year.
